Space Availability - Shapiro Undergraduate Library

Everyone planning to use the library must complete the ResponsiBLUE health screening each day. The library follows all U-M campus safety guidelines as outlined in the Campus Maize & Blueprint. 


For Winter 2022, the library offers bookable tables on the first floor, bookable study rooms on the second floor, and walk-in/open study tables and comfortable chairs on the basement, first floor lobby, and second, third, and fourth floors.

Tables can be reserved for up to four hours per day. Group study rooms can be reserved for up to four hours per day.  Reservations can be made up to 7 days in advance. Walk-in study space has no time restrictions. 

The library requires Mcard access after 5 p.m. 

The Library has a very limited amount of private enclosed study spaces to take a virtual meeting or class. To reserve other study spaces on campus, please click here:
