Student organizations and campus departments may request to do an information tabling or pop-ups in Shapiro Library Lobby. We provide one table and two chairs. If you would like to have a digital sign displayed during your tabling event please follow these guidelines and submit your file to LibraryDigitalSigns@umich.edu at least 3 days prior to your reservation.
Student organizations must be officially recognized by the University of Michigan or aligned with a UM Department or college.
We do not permit the following:
- Student company liaison tables, giveaways or corporate promotion or sponsorship.
- Calling out to any passing library users, you may only engage with people who choose to come to your table.
- Petition signing, whether paper or electronic.
- Endorsement of specific political parties or candidates, including at the U-M student office level.
- Collection of money through sales, fundraising, betting or raffles. (Organization representatives may direct users to where they can purchase tickets or make donations)
- Music, amplified sound or any loud noise.
- Homemade food distribution, any food given away must be purchased prepackaged.
